After a successful post before last football season broke down the uniforms for each of the Pac-10’s teams, it’s time to do The Great Western Uniform Bracket again, with two new teams and several new uniforms in the mix. And this year, the winners of each match-up will be determined by fan voting until one school from each division heads to the final showdown for the title of Best Uniform in the Pac-12.

The teams have been seeded and the bracket set using a mixture of perceived public sentiment, the results of last year’s bracket and blatant homerism. With the 12-team format, two teams in each division get first-round passes–so Stanford, Oregon, USC and UCLA all move on to the second round for free.

The entire bracket is as follows:

Voting for the first match-up will begin tomorrow here on the site, when Arizona State and Utah meet to determine who will move on and face UCLA in the division semifinal. The voting for each pairing will last two days, and a new vote will open daily. The complete first round voting schedule appears here.

As always, use Twitter (@DailyAxe), Facebook and our comments platform to express your thoughts and interact with us and fellow readers. One voter will receive a special prize at the end of the bracket, but you’re only eligible to win if you let your presence be known on one of the above three realms (the voting polls themselves are anonymous).

UPDATE: The final round is closed. Results can be seen here.

UPDATE: Both third-round match-ups (Washington-California, ASU-Colorado) are closed. Results and the updated bracket are posted here.

UPDATE: All second-round match-ups (Stanford-Cal, USC-Colorado, Oregon-WashingtonUCLA-ASU) are closed. Results and the updated bracket are posted here.

UPDATE: All first-round match-ups (ASU-Utah, Washington-Oregon State, Arizona-Colorado, Washington State-Cal) are closed. Results and the updated bracket are posted here.
