Landry Fields ’10 sat down with Mavericks post player Tyson Chandler and host Scoop Jackson to discuss the NBA lockout and being a player in the League circa 2011 in ESPN and Jim Beam’s “The Next Round” series. We learn that Fields is a big fan of The Freak, Chandler remains unsure of his free agent future and Fields continues to enjoy the internet video spotlight. Needless to say, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen the Stanford graduate and current New York Knick ham it up for the cameras.
The session was published in three parts, which appear in order below.
Fields and Chandler talk about the NBA lockout, how the media influences the public’s view of labor disputes and National Basketball Players Association executive director Billy Hunter’s haircut.
The duo discusses winning an NBA championship and where Chandler will sign once the lockout ends.
Conversation veers toward the sorry state of the Dodgers and the excitement of watching the Giants’ Tim Lincecum pitch.
Other notable “The Next Round” segments include a session with comedian Adam Carolla and columnist Bill Simmons, when the two discuss meetings with athletes and the NFL lockout.
