New Web Look

In the same general span of time that has opened it virtual doors for your free-of-charge business,, the official website of the Stanford Athletics department, has unleashed a new look. We dig the alternating images of the Farm that appear in the top-left corner of the new site and the fresher, photo-based appearance of the site’s top stories. The site is clearly still in transition, though, as several links still lead to pages that sport the old Go Stanford appearance.

That’s not to like about the new visual theme? Well, apparently Stanford sports are now “Presented by AT&T.” We here at the Daily Axe are all for making money, but for a school that doesn’t have banner or poster advertisements at its sporting facilities, the prominent telecommunications logo on the new site is less than stellar.
